If your client does NOT use his/her Skype on different computers, but has seen what I was describing earlier with a chat window opening and messages appearing very quickly. This would show someone has accessed the account.

Apart from that, it would be very problematic. As the chat logs do not record what computer sent the message.

Hi,

The chat files are located in ~Library/Application Support/Skype/<skype.username>. However here you will only find the Skype chat.dbb files, you may have to use an external application to view these.

By opening a chat with a user in Skype and typing the command "/htmlhistory" in the chat window will convert these .dbb files into friendly HTML ones.

And does this record only what was typed on that particular computer?

AlanNMMXCommented:
The tilde just means current users home directory ~ is simply a shortcut for /Users/<mac.username>

As for messages from that computer only, sometimes Skype can sync the messages. However your client would of seen this happening as it does not do it hidden. It opens the chat window and all the messages appear suddenly as if someone is talking extremely fast.

ok, I know nothing about macs, how do I navigate to this file?
two, so its possible the messages are archived on that computer from the other computer?
It would synch any typing from either computer?

Quickest way to navigate to this folder would be selecting finder (The blue faced icon on the dock). Then at the very top of the screen select "Go -> Go to Folder" menu option. This will result in a small box being shown. Type "~/Library/Application Support/Skype/" without quotes and press go. Then you should be able to see some folders one of these will be the username of your clients Skype account. Here you will find the chat*.dbb files. But as I said these are not really useable and may have to use an external application to view them.

It is possible messages to be archived that were typed on the other location. It normally only happens if you login between computers in a short period of time.

ok, got it, so there is no way to determine if the messages came from subject computer or a different computer if some had there username and password correct?
