Knowledgeable,
I might be inclined to spend some of my time helping you if you would actually start responding the the Experts who have posted in some of your other (12) open questions.

You have comments that have been sitting there for a week or more without anyone hearing back from you.

Just some friendly advice.

As a point of fact, I have never heard of Norton/Symantec offering any of their products for download from anywhere but their site.

You won't be 'charged' for their Trial products - as long as you follow their Trial/Cancellation procedures.

I have updated all of my previous postings.

Up until the end of last year I was able to go to Symantec's website and download either a 30 or a 60 day trial version of their antivirus program that would work just fine until the activation period expired.

Now when I go to their website and try to download the same software, they require that I provide a credit card number.

I am using this to clean viruses from a customer's laptop.

Therefore, I won't be able to cancel the trial membership in time.

I have done web searches and have found other websites that claim that I can download this same software, but when I do to their website, I am inundated with links to download other antivirus software, and I never know exactly what I am downloading.

The only other legit way to download Symantec/Norton products is through CNET's download site, but that's just merely a web-installer which will without a doubt download the full product and request credit card information.

I have found this URL for downloading the trial version of Symantec antivirus 2010 without using a credit card:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/downloads/trialsoftware/download.jsp?pvid=nav2010&om_ext_cid=hho_tbyb_us_cnet_nav_ppd_01

Does anyone have a valid URL address where I can download a trial version of Symantec antivirus 2011 without providing a credit card number?

"I am using this to clean viruses from a customer's laptop."

NONE of the Symantec AV products are your best choice for this activity.
AV applications are designed to PREVENT infection - with varying degrees of efficacy.

If you need repair/remove malware from known infected computers, you need to provide the details of the infection and get some targeted advice.

Which Symantec Trial Product you are trying to download? SEP, Norton 360, Norton 2011 or some other?

I would agree with younghv that there are better products and procedures than Symnatec could offer, if you could let us know about the infection you are trying to clean we might help
