How do I make my selected display themes run right in the screensaver window in the control panel? My selected display themes run fine on my desktop.  However, if I go into conrol panel-appearances & personalization-screensaver settings window, I cannot get the setting to display  what I am running as my theme on my desktop?

windows 7
IE 8
64 bit
monitor resolution: 1600 x 900

I have attached a picture showing the screen settings window in personalization in control panel.  It is not displaying what my desktop theme is displaying.  It displays the window behind the screen settings window?  Hope this helps.

This is normal for windows Aero
if you r/click the desktop and personalize, highlight one sets and then click on screensaver
it is just demonstrating the screensaver in a small monitor, it does not associate with any desktop wallpaper while in the demo mode
As far as I know it cannot be enabled to do so.
I see the same windows 7 professional 32 bit

I think I missed what you asked about, the answer is still you can't.
But to explain it..
You cant preview a theme as in a screensaver
I get the same,
Themes are not actual screensavers themes play in a desktop slideshow only which is adjustable for the slide timer settings.

Screensavers include power management and other things and have no relevence to a theme
If you enable a screensaver there then you have the preview of it..

Maybe you can save the theme as a screensaver with some technical scripting

Hope that explains it a bit better for you
