I want to add 500 icons to the icon folder

I use Windows 7 64 bit. I want to obtain a few hundred icons so that I have more variety on my desktop. What is the description of an icon size wise? What by what? Are they ico files? Where would I store them so that when I right click an icon, then properties I can click change icon. I want it to take me to the folder that has my new selection of icons. Any suggestions?

Icons can also be binded to exe's

PRE WINDOWS XP uses 16x16 and 32x32

POST VISTA uses 64x64 and 128x128

The icon folder by default usually selects the folder of which the shortcut you are trying to change the icon for is located.

You can place the icons anywhere.

Hope this helps

kpltechgroup. so, am I right in assuming, since I use Win 7 that If I choose small or large icons for the desktop that win uses either 64x64 or 128? If so then since I sometimes use both I should attempt to find icon sets that have both sizes?
