Are you using the Powerdesk software that comes with the device?
It sounds like configging should be standard with that software.
I see you are able to do max resolution at 3 monitors all 1920 x 1080 across all three displays, but the resolutions must all be the same, so if your laptop doesn't support that res you would have to default to whatever the max res on the laptop is.

Also in Windows Control Panel under Appearance and personalization there is 'Adjust screen resolution' - go there and select 'Detect', and see what happens...

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

I don't quite understand what you mean, but they don't have to be the same brand/model etc, just have to support the same resolution, and usually the limiting factor in terms of resolution is the laptop GPU (Graphics on the laptop).
It will work with two monitors:
"Supports a maximum resolution of 3840x1200 (2x 1920x1200)2 across two monitors; displays attached to TripleHead2Go must run at the same resolution " (stated on the product page).

If you go to control panel as suggested above, it will tell you what your current screen supports in terms of resolution.

If you right-click Computer and select manage then device manager and expand display adaptors it will tell you more about the brand of GPU and you could goole it to find out what resolutions it is capable of.

I could tell you more if i knew what laptop you have, or you could follow above and see where it gets you. The product page is informative too:

From what i've read, I think if you use your laptop it may be that the HP monitors must be set to the same resolution is the laptop 1366x768. This won't look that great, it's a device intended to be used on desktops or laptops with high-end graphics.

On your HP desktop don't set the reolution any higher then 1920x1080 max on the 2 HP screens and your original monitor. 3840x1200 is too high for 3 screens. I think that is why it isn't displaying properly. If it still won't work at correct resolutions i'd contact the manufacturer for advice/telephone support.

If you look in device manager you should see the triple head2go listed, right click on it and update the drivers to get the latest version. You may even have to choose uninstall (+ delete driver) then restart PC it should look for new drivers when the 'new' device is detected.

This is why it isn't displaying properly. Set the HP monitors to 1366x768 resolution - all 3 screens must be the same resolution.
