Inside my  Samsung CLX-6250FX is an option to enable LDAP for user authentication (so that I can restrict printing, copying, faxing and scanning to authorised users listed within an LDAP compatible database such as Active Directory).  Would anyone know who this is done?

Users must insert a CAC and enter a PIN to gain access to the multi-function printer (MFP). The MFP authenticates the PIN and then uses the Kerberos and LDAP to verify that the user has permission to perform the desired function. When authenticated, users may safely and securely work with highly sensitive documents on the MFP.

Thanks MarioAlcaide.  Is this CAC a card reader?  Can it be done by using just the username and password set in AD?

CAC = Common Access Card.

No, I think you cannot login just with a username and password in AD, you need to insert a CAC. At least that's what Samsung said
