Meta Tag Documents coming to an Email Enabled Library

Does anyone have any lessons learned regarding this process?

Say if you want to tag a word document with a title and description when being emailed -- I know it's an ambigous question, so just looking for high level answer asking if anyone's ever done it and what are some considerations. --

I think you need a 3rd party tool to be able to do this.
