difference between cisco feature sets

i need to know what exactly is the purpose of the Advanced IP Services Image Feature  and the Advanced Security Image Feature also I thought these were just ios images i can download from cisco's site for free not pay money for a license

I cannot really see any good documentation  on them or if they are at all worth it for cisco routers.

what type of router do you have?

you able to compare the image with feaure navigator:

also the question is i thought you get the licenses for free off of the cisco site not pay for the advanced ip license or did that change?

you need to pay to buy new IOS, and you need shared support or SMARTNEt if you want to download the new releases!

oo so if i have a smartnet which i would buy anyways i do not have to pay for the ios awsome thanks
