SSRS Subscription - Only today's data

I have a SSRS report that has a parameter named “SelectDate”, with a datatype of “text”.  It is associated with a dataset field:  CONVERT(DATE, tableName.smalldatetimefield, 101) AS RECEIVED_DATE.

When a date is manually entered in the report’s “SelectDate” parameter, the report runs successfully.

I am trying to set up a subscription to be emailed daily with data received that day (using today’s date in the “SelectDate” parameter field).  In the subscription setup, under “Report Parameter Values”, I have tried:

today(),
GETDATE(),
NOW(),
CONVERT(varchar(10), GETDATE(),101),
CONVERT(varchar(10),today(),101),
CONVERT(varchar(10), NOW(),101)

I receive the following error:
“Failure sending mail: An error has occurred during report processing. Mail will not be resent.”

What should be placed in the subscription setup under “Report Parameter Values”?

I think you need to add a GETDATE() default parameter value and please see link to find out how

After I added a default value in the parameter instead of trying to add it to the subscription it worked properly.  Thank you so much for your help.
