Changing routers

I am going on a service call to troubleshoot a customers new router installation. They changed routers and there wireless printer is not working. That is all they said to me on the phone. My question is when replacing routers shouldn't  powering off the modem for about 15 seconds and then hooking the modem and router together and powering up autoconfig the network? If I am wrong, what should I be looking for when I go over there?
Thanks

You may also need to cycle power on the printer. I'd clear the print queue too

Well it wasn't tht easy. When I got there the printer was a Dell photo 966 that didn't have Windows 7 drivers and it was downloading the Vista Driver instead. But it wouldn't recognize the wireless printer so I had a 12' usb cable in the car and just hooked it up that way. Anyone know where there is a good wireless driver for that printer?
Thanks,

That is the one I downloaded and installed the other day. It is all good with the customer that the printer is working with a usb cable. For some reason the printer is not recognizing or getting a signal from the wireless router but the wireless laptop does.
thanks
