LCP Terminated by peer when connecting to Windows 7

I have a linux machine connecting via PPP to a windows 7 but it's constantly terminating the PPP connection during the LCP negotiation

I do not have any problems when connecting to an XP machine.

If I'm reading that trace correctly the two systems can't agree on the Link Control Protocol. The Windows 7 box may be using a later implementation, or it could be just broken, I can't easily say which.

The issue was the Incoming Connections Properties has "Require all users to secure their passwords and data" enabled.  Un-checking this checkbox made everything work

What Linux (and ppp) are you using and which side is initiating the connection?

Linux 2.6.32 armv7l, ppd version 2.4.5

I would like to support the case when the server enables encryption. Linux side is the client and Windows is server

Require all users to secure their passwords and data requires to be encrypted which is enabled on default on Windows 7.  Client connecting from Linux machine was not supporting this.
