Hi There,

I have a library that used to have direct permission on it. I restablished the inherit permission from the site. But a user could not modify any properties obtaining a 403 error. I wonder if there is any way to propagate permission again in that library.

Thanks,

Claudio

you cannot directly break the permission on a document library and go back to the previously configured permission sets. you will need to manually set the permissions for that user whether you inherit the permissions from the site or you have a permisison mechanism for the document library independent of the site permission mechanism.

A 403 error means that the user had no access to the web application itself and not SharePoint. It is IIS who is already stopping the user with the forbidden message.
