Mac OS X not syncing Entourage address book with Exchange 2003 server

The machine is a Mac OS X 10.6.6 running Entourage 12.2.8 and I can't get address book to sync with Exchange 2003.

I have gone through the basic tutorial with every variation of the setting I had and nothing works. I notice it has native support for Exchange 2007 but not 2003.

How do I make this work?

Connecting to Exchange 2003 using Entourage 2008 on OSX.

Have you tried to use the following format for the username & OWA Server?

User Name: yourdomain\yourusername
OWA Server: https://yourservername/exchange/youremailaddress

That didn't work either. The tutorials don't look the same as what I see on this machine, the address book app is ver. 5.0.3 and looks different than this or anything else I can find.
