You have 3 options:

Use bridged networking - allows you to use another NIC on your server, you can have another IP address set to it and can be different to your local network.

Use NAT - get access of your local IP address's recources, like internet.

Use host-only - The Virtual machines will communicate, they cannot see your host/network

Yup, I use nat but I my vmware does not have a network, my PC does.

Ok, sorry...

This is my problem, I have vmware workstation, I set the network to use NAT.  but when I run the vmware workstation cannot connect to network.

Any ideas why?

I check the connected and connected at start up.
