Problem With Backup Exec 2010R2 running on an SBS2011/SBS2008R2 server

Hi,

Been having a problem with the backups at this site, where the backups will fail backing up the exchange 2010 with the following errors.

Job Completion Status
Job ended: Thursday, March 03, 2011 at 3:10:12 AM
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000ff12 - A communications failure has occurred with an Exchange Store resource.
Final error category: Resource Errors

Since Exchange is running on this box, this followin hotfix may correct your problem:

tried applying but as i am on Backup exec 2010 R2 sp1 it wont go on?

I think your problem is that SBS 2011 is not supported. I just noticed that was one of the servers.

Best guess from here is that R3 will support it.

Symantec have released a new hotfix for 2010 R2 to fix the issue, we have applied this new hotfix and it has worked.
