Add newer web clients (e.g. 12.1) to a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 portal webpage?

Greetings Everyone,

Is there a way to modify the portal webpage of a 4.5 Citrix Presentation Server to display not only the native ICA32PKG web client, but also additional clients as a download/install choice for users? Example, we have some users that now utilize Windows 7 (32/64) at home and would like to offer them (on the same page the ICA32PKG client is advertised) the option of installing (from the portal page) the 12.1 online plug-in web client. How do we add the 12.1 client as an option? Thanks in advance for your time and insights!

:-)

Web interface is an IIS page, so if you have someone that knows a bit of HTML, you could create custom links to the various clients. There is no way that i know of by default to give an option of which version client to download/install. You can upgrade the client for all users on the web interface so that any windows OS that connects will get prompted to download the new client. Are you interested in that?

Thanks, but we don't want to upgrade everyone, rather we are just trying to offer additional clients. I saw it being done in earlier versions of the server, but cannot find the area to make the change. For example, can we modify the hyperlink for the "Other clients are available from the Citrix client download site." comment? Thanks!

You can modify or add anything if you have the HTML skills to do so.

Thats a good one Carl. I like that. Just put the HTML code and embed it into the message screen. Good old HTML to the rescue again.
