How do I import cd tracks to itunes existing playlist.

Inserting CD asks to import - if OK , where does music go?

After import green check appears; Track>Option>drag from 'Device' (the CD) to existing playlist does not work. Also, using Copy/Paste I get message that 'some songs already imported' - where are they?

All I want to do is copy the CD tracks from the CD to an already created  (empty) Playlist. Seems this should be easy, but no luck!

It imported into the general "Music" library at the top.  Click that... and find them in the window, then drag them into the playlists.
