Hi Experts,

In BGP, when you define your neighbors under router bgp [as], why is there not a field to ACTIVE the neighbor? You have to go into another subset of commands "address-family iv4" and then activate.

Is there good logic to this?

" Each address family maintains a separate BGP database, which allows you to configure BGP policy on per-address family basis. "
