Cannot Remove Outlook 2010 Folder

I handle email and web admin for a local non-profit and am in the middle of switching providers.  Our current provider does not offer a utility to export email, so I am connecting to each account individually via IMAP and exporting a .pst.  Somehow Outlook froze in the process of exporting one of the .pst files and now I am stuck with a data file and folder that keep being created even though an email account does not exist for them.  When I try to close it I receive "This group of folders is associated with an e-mail account.  To remove the account, click the File Tab, and on the Info tab, click Account Settings.  Select the e-mail account, and then click Remove."

The problem is - there is no email account for this.  I've removed every account and data file and still cannot seem to rid myself of this folder.  I found some info in the following thread, but that appears to be for Exchange users.  Unfortunately, I am not using Exchange and am using IMAP to connect to accounts instead.

I am willing to install a fresh copy, but I suspect that won't address the issue.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Login to a different account on the computer Or in winxp, login to a local admin, rename the profile having the outlook problem, re-login as the user and setup again.

In windows 7 the users folder is located in c:\users
