Problems with Corel WordPerfect X4 on Terminal Server

Hello Everyone -

I've had an ongoing issue with one of my terminal users who for some reason always seems to have two instances of WordPerfect X4 open up on her terminal profile when she first opens the program after logging in. Not sure what the problem seems to be since many of the other users are not having the same problem.

Lately because she is higher up in the technical side of office matters, she is able to open task manager and shut down the second instance, however this has become annoying for her as she creates over 25 documents a day and its been going on for the last month!

We are  currently using Windows 2003 Terminal Server with WordPerfect X4 and installed all available Service Packs.

Any ideas?

You may have to delete that person's user profile,..let them log in to recreate it,...then copy their My Docs, Favs, Desktop, etc back in from the old profile.  I usually do it by Moving the Profile Folder elsewhere (not deleting it) then let them log in and back out to recreate a fresh one.

It is also important that Wordperfect was properly installed on the TS box.  You cannot do it by just running the Setup.exe like you would on a regular machine.  You have to do it through Add/Remove Programs---->Add Programs--->browse to the Wordperfect install executable and follow the prompts from that point.  It is important to follow the Wizard Prompts,...there is at least one dialog box that you are not to close until the installation is completed so that the TS services properly adjust to the Installation so that the installation properly works for a multi-user environment.
