I am a novice at flash and html.  I have a flash scrolling image at www.mauitradewinds.com/Test/scroller.htm  and I would like code to pause the scroller on mouseover and change the cursor to a pointer. The parent folder (/Test) contains all the associated files.  Thank you.

Thats something that would require flash programming.  You would have to have adobe flash and the source code to do it.  You could do it though.  A workaround might be to use "layers" so that when the user moves somewhere outside the flash, a "layer" comes on top (that could be transparent) and stops the flash.  That's probably about your only options.  If you have the source, someone can probably do it if you post it.

Thank you for your comnents regarding pause on mouseover.  How about changing the cursor to a pointer and allowing an image Title tag to appear on mouseover?  Can that be done without flash programming?

You could put a transparent image map layer on top, but then you can't interact with the flash.  Basically if you want the flash part to do anything when you "mouse over" any part of it, you're going to need flash.
