Cannot Edit SPRY Accordion in Dreamweaver (DS3) in Design Mode

Hi - I have a spry accordion in my page and I'm using Dreamweaver to do my editing.  I use this all the time, but have never had this happen before.  When in Design mode, if I click anywhere within the accordion structure a blue box appears around the structure, and I am unable to made any edits.  When I hover over the structure, I get a pop-up that shows ID, DIV, Overflow, etc.

I've tried double-clicking, clicking while holding down control, alt, etc. and have no luck.  The accordion works fine, and i can edit the content in the Code window, but can't get to it in Design.

Ideas?

H sjsimpson2000,

Try the following:

1) Close the document and from the site menu, go to advanced and recreate the site cache.

If that doesn't work:

2) close Dreamweaver and delete winfilecache-xxxxxxxxx from the configuration folder.  Normally I'd give you a path but I can't remember it and I'm on an iPad so I can't easily check it.

The only other thing I can think of is if you changed the accordion and broke the syntax somehow.  That would prevent design view from working but it would also break the functionality in the browser.

Thank you!  I recreated the site cache.  I'm not sure that fixed it completely... when I reopened the document I still was unable to edit directly in the Design window; but, after I double-clicked on the blue box around the structure it will now let me edit.

Glad it worked for you.  The caches in Dreamweaver cause all sorts of weird issues, so recreating them is always a good first step for troubleshooting.
