iPhone randomly cannot be detected by iTunes over USB docking / hub connection ?

Hi,

I got one XP laptop and one iphone 3GS, but somehow the synch process can only work in random times ?

my iPod is connected through USB docking station it works but when I disconnect it and reconnect it again it doesn't ?

any idea of what might happens ?

Crud in the docking station?  Does it work better if you connect it via the cable?
Crud in the iphone's dock connector?  Have you tried carefully cleaning it out?  The socket often gets filled with lint, dust, etc.  It can help to use electrical cleaner, and/or compressed air...be gentle, though.

yes i have, but somehow I can get it to work by restarting the iPod service from services.msc

Try re-downloading, and then reinstalling, iTunes.
