I cant change the text color on my CSS  drop downmenu

I  am trying to change my text color on my drop down  menu that i created with css , for some reason its not working. The color is gray with a  black background and i tried to edit it ,but the only thing i can change is the  drop down text color but the text that opens the page is not changed to what i want ,which is light color dropdownmenu1.css

To change color of of link try to edit it here:
.chromestyle ul li a{
color: #494949; /*CHANGE COLOR OF LINK TEXT*/
padding: 4px 7px;
margin: 0;
text-decoration: none;
border-right: 1px solid #E8BEBE; /*THEME CHANGE HERE*/
}
