We installed Exchange 2010 in a new domain, and exported out some mailboxes to PST files from the old 2003 Exchange. We then imported the PST to the the user mailbox on the Exchange 2010.

If we open a old message and tries to replay, the replay address looke like this:

EX:/O=exch_org/OU=First Administative Groups/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=JOHNDOE

Is there a way to overcome this?

This happens due the the X500 proxy address of the old mailboxes(exchange 2003).

I added the old Leagacy address as a X500 address on the new user object and the problem was solved :)
