Hi only Windows Server is supported (2003 & 2008 on BES 5).

You can run BES VMs using a desktop OS but guests would need to be Windows Server.

BES Express is also supported on Small Business Server.

Desktop components such as web desktop will work on a desktop OS.

Regards,

RobMobility.

I believe you can install MDaemon email server on XP which offers out of the box BlackBerry sync support;

Are you able to put BES on a SBS box and if so would you recommend it? I was always told to put it on a seperate box.

You are able to put BES on SBS but I have had issues with it in the past. This is something to do with MAPI profile I believe. I recommend installing on a separate box to avoid problems in the future. It does get a bit messy I'm afraid.
