Is it possible using Flash ActionScript to post to a PHP page using POST?

Ive got a result from a game and Id like to post it to a database, the PHP page already exists, however Id like it to post via POST (not GET) to the page and then read the response, if the response is Ok, then do nothing, but if it gives anything else then I can process that in some code.

Does anyone have any example code of posting a couple of variables by POST to a page, waiting for a response then reading the response.

Thank you

You use URLLoader to do that in AS3 and LoadVars in AS2...  Check out these pages for more information...
