Hey guys.

I am using Exchange 2003 with outlook 2007 SP 2. When i try to use the outlook search it only goes back to  emails received after feb 2nd of this year even though when i search the inbox manually i can find emails from the same sender that are over a year old. I tried running repair and re-installing office but no help.

what OS you have & make sure user must be member of Users or Admin or Power Users (in case of XP) group.
1.this could be due to PST/OST curroption.
2. Desktop search might need to be reinstalled in case of Windows XP.
3. rebuilt the indexing

scaning PST for errors & compressing it to clear its cache might help..This is a known issue & almost daily we face with our users...common thing is PST oversized or curropted
