rman duplicate sb_tape error

I am duplicating db to  another server,

i took cold backup to local disk, and copied to destination , and gave rman duplication command, no matter what, the duplicate command i using tape channel, and duplicate not happening... please help...

Have you tried setting the configuration parameters first, e.g.

configure device type disk;

i tried all those, but after clearing the sp_tape completely, it worked...thanks
