Exchange 2010 Won't e-mail

Hi All,

I am having problems with a new setup of Exchange 2010. I have manage to install and setup Exchange ok and I have also setup mailboxes for users. I had to follow a guide online to setup another domain for exchange as our e-mail domain is different from our internal domain. I followed this guide: http://paulslager.com/?p=140

I have deleted all references to the old domain (at least I think so). But I can’t e-mail out to external mail and external mail can’t e-mail in. The MX record is in place in DNS and everything is setup correctly at the ISP end as we used to have Exchange 2003 running. Since the move over to 2010 its all stopped working. This is an e-mail I got back saying it couldn’t get through (I have X’d out the e-mail addresses for privacy):

You'll need to modify security settings on your default connectors.
You can follow below EE article for the same
https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24934814/Exchange-2010-530-5-7-1-Client-was-not-authenticated.html

If the issue does not resolve by modifying security, please let me know.

Hi,

Thanks for your help with this! Got it working so that it now recieves e-mail from the outside... Now the next problem that I am having is that its not sending mail out to the outside!! Do you know what this might be?

Thanks
What error you got when you tried to send an outbound mail.
You can also use exchange mail flow troubleshooter under toolbox option of exchange management console.
Can you post the detailed errors.

I have uploaded the image of the results of the Troubleshooter. It doesn't seem to have any errors on it. When the e-mail sends from the inbox it doesn't bounce back it just seems to dissapear?! Are there any event ID's I could check?
Thanks User generated image
Have you checked your mail queues? If there is any mail stucked then it will also show you the errors on the same screen. Please post that result.

Yep your right they are stuck in the mail queue under unreachable domain. The error says:

A matching connector cannot be found to route the external recipient

Thanks
