Hello experts,

We have a single exchange server 2010 in our organization.

I have built a new server an dinstalled exchange on it.

Now I will start moving mailboxes to the new server, after then I will uninstall exchange from the old server.

My questions:

1. How to know in which server each mailbox is stored ?
2. After moving all mailboxes, may I uninstall exchange from the first server safely?

The mailboxes on the legacy server will show up with a different icon

as for removing the last Legacy (exchange 2003) server id look at this:

In that case, I would run the get-mailboxstatistics cmdlet for the Source DB and then use EMC to move the mailboxes.

then take a look at this.
