How do I best search optimize flash sites?

Hey.

Can anyone help on some tips on how to optimize a flash site for search engines? I read a bit about a robots.txt document, XML etc.

My flash site which is a photo website and is being builded from a XML document. I also read that some create html-documents that are hidden from the users for the best crawling...

What is the best approach to this?

Hope to hear from you.

We would suggest the HTML docs that are hidden. We recently changed our website from mostly flash to HTML, with a little flash. The entire purpose was to become more available to search engines (albeit, a large amount of work). We spent hours trying to find solutions to enhancing the flash site to become more prevalent on search engines, but there wasn't much we could do; hence the HTML change.

Best of Luck!!

Are you flash site pages oriented - like Home, About us, etc. If so then use the concept of swfaddress with deep linking for SEO friendly flash websites.
At the same time keep the meta-keywords placed within the object tag on the html.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

What swfaddress and deeplinking do is access the internal sections of the same flash website through direct url.
For example, You can access the about us section in your flash site by just typing http://www.yourdomain.com/about. But remember you will have only one flash file. As the urls of different sections can be accessed directly, it helps the flash sections to be more SEO friendly.

I didn't get the exact answer on what the best solution was. To create the HTML documents or do the swfadress with deep linking.
