SCCM Patch Management

I would like to start pushing patches to my servers using SCCM. We have an SCCM server up and running on our network. I would like to know if there's a "How To" or white paper that could help me get started.  Ideally, I would like to have the servers download the patch one day and then install and reboot another. If that's possible.

The whole process actually depends on how your infrastructure is laid out.

This Technet article will help you fully deploy all the requirement for Software Updates though SCCM using the WSUS API.

The options for scheduling Software Updates within SCCM are plenty and once you have everything setup correctly. This includes Maintenance Windows capabilities that come in very handy when patching server at a certain time and patch deadlines.
