Outlook 2010 does not give an immediate response when booking a resource.

Our problem is when scheduling a meeting  in a resource room our Outlook 2010 clients are no longer immediately notified that the resource is not available.  Outlook sends a request and then we get an email back saying the meeting request is denied.
When doing the same function in Outlook 2003 the request never goes out.  It immediate gives a pop-up window that says the room is already booked.
How do we make Outlook 2010 give us the notice immediately instead of sending the request first?

I forgot to add we are using an Exchange 2010 sp1 server.

We have the exactly the same problem. Outlook 2010, Exchange 2010 SP1. Anbody any ideas???

I found the fix.

Install the Outlook 2010 adm
Enable the Direct Booking add-on
