We have an SBS 2003 R2 Server with RAID 5 that became corrupt.  After failing to recover, we decided to re-install, create a bigger C: partition and restore using backup.

We have a recent backup with Backup Exec 11d.

Is there a Disaster Recovery guide for SBS 2003 that we can follow?  What steps do we need to take?

Thank you for your time.

Make sure the domain and server names are the same as this will affect the exchange restore
see this article for restoring exchange

So from what I am reading:
1.  Reload SBS 2003 without Exchange and AD - just Server 2003
2.  Load Backup Exec
3.  Catalog Media and Restore Files and System State
4.  Reboot into Directory Services Restore Mode and do Authoritative Restore
5.  Do the Exchange Restore

Am I missing any steps?

Are Share and NTFS permisssions restored?

What settings or customizations are NOT restored?
