What to do with Expiring DPM Tape Encryption Certificate

We have a new deployment of MS DPM 2010. My encryption certificate for tape backups is from DigiCert and will expire in 2012. What will happen when the cert expires? Will I still be able to backup and restore on my DPM server or does the expiration date not mean anything as long as the cert is present in the DPMBackkupStore?

What is the best practice for obtaining a cert for DPM? Should I used a web based or generate from my local CA?

Thanks for your assistance!

I found the answer to my question : )

You basically just need to move the expired cert to the DPMRestoreStore

This is very cool and very simple feature.

Thanks anyway for your help.
