No desktop logging onto a domain

I am using XP SP£ Pro Clients and Server 2003 R2

I have installed some new machines and ghosted the OS accross from a machine of the smae type (Dell Optiplex 745). I have done this ghosting many times (probably about 200!)
The new machines have been relogged ontot the Domain with a unique computer name and they connect to the domain OK, and users are redirected to thier My Documents folders as I have instructed in the GPO. However I have a standard desktop for them to use and this is not being redirected as intsructed by the GPO. This GPO has been in force for 4 years and works for the other machines.

What is causing this and how can I fix it?

I would say there may be an error here regarding the sid. You should download a tool to change the sid ID before renaming and adding to the domain. Try here Newsid

If it's windows 7 or 2008 r2, I think you need to run sysprep as the tool will not work.
