Driver location difficulty

PCI Device      PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&SUBSYS_022F1028&REV_02\3&61AAA01&0&D8      The drivers for this device are not installed.

Can anyone help me find the above for XP Pro?

The PCI Database identifies this devices as "Microsoft UAA bus for HD audio" from Intel corporation.  Microsoft's KB888111 is a 1.0a update for the driver; KB835221 discusses the 1.0 release.  Both of these pages bring up an automatic hotfix that addresses a "no audio" problem, so the hotfix may be what you need.

Hmm. A hotfix is a lot less convenient than a driver installation file - is there one?

Also,  i wonder if installing XP SP3 will resolve this issue automatically?
