When searching in Outlook 2010 delayed messages in Outbox get marked as Read and are not sent out when scheduled?

I have a client that uses Delay Delivery in outlook 2010 to send messages to himself as reminders. However he also uses the search feature in Outlook. When searching for messages if he just scrolls over messages that are in the Outbox it marks these messages as read and then will not send them. We have SBS 2011 and exchange 2010.

Thank you for the reply, but turning off the reading pane all together isn't an option for this user.

No real solution to this issue. The work around has been to exclude the outbox when searching for emails.

The client is ok with excluding the outbox when he is searching through his email.

If you read/open an email in your Outbox that is set for delayed delivery, you will notice the email is no longer in italics.  You must reopen the send and resend it.  It will then be in italics again.
