I have a user that has an ipad and has setup exchange to sync using the OWA url. It works fine from her house and other places outside of the office. When she comes into the office, the exchange won't sync on her ipad. I am guessing this is because it is using the OWA URL that is only valid externally. Is this the case? If not, how can I get her ipad to sync to exchange inside the network?

Given this information, what do I enter for this instruction?
"The easiest way to do this is using your internal DNS servers by creating a forward lookup zone called owa.domainname.com and then creating a blank A record that is configured to use your Exchange servers internal IP address"
What do I call the forward lookup zone?
thanks,
Justin

You would create a forward lookup zone for mail.domain.org and give it the internal IP of your exchange server
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

I created the forward lookup zone and she said it never worked at the office. She has since left and gone to her home office. These two offices are connected via VPN and the office she was having trouble at housed the exchange server.
Now that she is at her home office, it works fine.
Now I am unable to test this issue.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Justin

I have an ipod touch but I won't be on site until next week. Who knows when the user that had the ipad will be back. I have another user with an Ipad and her e-mail works just fine as far as I know. I am not sure if she is accessing it the same way or not though. Isn't their just one way to synx exchange using an ipad/ipod?

Yes for only one way to Sync an iPad / iPod and that uses Activesync, but the configuration settings might be slightly wrong on the device, yet working!
If you can compare the settings or have the user who went away send a screen dump of her Account Settings then compare them to a working iPad your side - you might see an obvious difference.
