Imageshack and facebook not opening

I have this peculiar problem of imageshack.us and facebook not opening on my comp. It shows 'the connection has timed out'.

Every other site opens except these two. I have removed cookies and temporary files, shut of firewall, et al but to no avail. However, when I tried through a proxy IP, both these sites opened up without an issue. So obviously its not a cookies, temporary files or firewall issue. I feel this has something to do with my IP but then I could be wrong.

Obviously my limited computer knowledge is too little to handle this issue.

october16--Several ideas--
Put the URLs for imageshack and facebook into your Trusted Sites.
Try another browser.

Thank you for your response.

http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f31/solved-connection-has-timed-out-urgent-help-needed-230063.html - This I had tried even before I posted on EE. It did not work. So I decided to reboot the router after posting here. I realised the login for 192.168.1.1 was not working. That is when I realised something was amiss with the router. So I reset it. After which imageshack and facebook both are back.

After many reads in forums and otherwise, I accidently bumped in to the solution by merely resetting the router.
