Have a single Windows 2003 Std. server and recently Windows explorer has gone away. &nbsp;The only way I can get to things is via the Task Manager RUN command. &nbsp;From the Task Manager when I &quot;run&quot; explorer.exe or c:\windows\explorer.exe there is a quick flash on the screen (as though it is trying to open it) that is so fast you have to have superman eyes to see what was trying to display.<br />

I have been doing some research on the problem and one of the solutions recommends using &quot;scf /scannow&quot;...BUT this seems to be too scray to run on a production server... Any other options or ideas would be most appreciated. &nbsp;Thanks in advance.<br />

Server 2003 Explorer not working

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server.
