Lenovo Laptop Display Problem

We purchased 15 Lenovo 2901A3U laptops in August, 2010; this past week two of the users reported problems with the display consisting of a 1" wide vertical line appearing on the display approximately 2" from the left side of the screen.  The problem is intermittent and doesn't have any specific times or situations where it manifests itself.  Is this a known problem with that model?  Does it indicate a defective display or is this something that might be related to drivers or some other correctable problem?  The problem is not present when an external monitor is utilized.

Don't know if it is a problem with the Lenovos in general but I'd take snapshots of it when it occurs then use the warranty on the machines.  The snapshots are your proof.

Could be screen or video chip or software but let Lenovo look at it.
