We purchased 15 Lenovo 2901A3U laptops in August, 2010; this past week two of the users reported problems with the display consisting of a 1&quot; wide vertical line appearing on the display approximately 2&quot; from the left side of the screen. &nbsp;The problem is intermittent and doesn't have any specific times or situations where it manifests itself. &nbsp;Is this a known problem with that model? &nbsp;Does it indicate a defective display or is this something that might be related to drivers or some other correctable problem? &nbsp;The problem is not present when an external monitor is utilized.

The problem is intermittent and doesn't have any specific times or situations where it manifests itself.  Is this a known problem with that model?  Does it indicate a defective display or is this something that might be related to drivers or some other correctable problem?  The problem is not present when an external monitor is utilized.

Microsoft Windows XP is the sixth release of the NT series of operating systems, and was the first to be marketed in a variety of editions: XP Home and XP Professional, designed for business and power users.
