Backup Exec Restore

I have been on hold with Symantec for almost 2 hours, so here it goes.
I have to restore the inboxes, deleted and sent items of 7 employees and I have to do this from 4 weeks back.  When I try to test the restore using my mailbox, using file redirection, sure enough it goes to my mailbox and not the restore drive and restore path.  Also, do I need to do this for every week  or can this be done weekly.  Any thoughts?

as far as i know, you can't schedule this restore on a weekly basis, this is to do with AD replication, adn exchange backup/backup exec catlogs. and by design backup exec isn't made/smart enough to schedule restores. worst case, i'd never want to perform exchnage restores as a schduled job, it'll be a nightmare..

i'd use the following method.

on a weekly basis, run exmerge to export mailboxes to pst files as a scheduled task and backup that pst file.

restore pst files to peform exmerge or just open pst files!
