How can I have an image displayed while my video loads

I'm using AS3. I want to have a static image displayed while the video loads. Right now, the entire page is sluggish and I'm thinking that's due to the fact that the video which starts up automatically is over four minutes long.

How can I have a preload graphic displayed while the flv loads up? Is there such a dynamic available with CS4?

There is no inbuilt script for this. You need to load an associated thumbnail image while the video loads and then on start of the video play hide the image.
Otherwise you can use 3rd party flv players like JW player where you can set the thumbnail image and the code is already in place.

Your suggestion of an image being displayed while the video loads is what I'm looking for. How would you do that?

I'm going to take a look at JW player as well.
