SHarepoint error

I recently installed Sharepoint  moss 03 and restored a site. And on a link i ma gettign the below error.

You cannot view a list in Datasheet view on a Windows SharePoint Services Web site

Is Office 2003 Profession Edition installed on the server where you installed the MOSS 2003 and migrated the content to?  I am almost positive that is a pre-requisite.

Or you can just install SharePoint 2007 designer, that will install the necessary client dlls.

Are there any other errors being generated in the event logs on the system?  Maybe under system or application?  Also, can you create a new datasheet and view it?

I found the solution i had  to created a internal link to that site with my IP insted of DSN name and it worked fine
