Hi,

In the Public folders of Microsoft Outlook we have a calendar which displays the days of the month, where we place appointments for that day. A couple of days back we haven't been able to access any of the days. When we click the hour-glass keeps hanging there and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Your outlook seems corrupt.  Have you tried starting outlook in safe mode?

Try this:

http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/safemode.htm

The more in-depth way to sort this is to 'recreate your outlook profile' its a long process if you want to retain your emails and calendar entries.

Other factors can be Malware / Spyware and Viruses or other programs installed on the PC.  And finally it can also be Microsoft Office that's lost files and needs a reinstall.

There is lots you can do so i would try loading Outlook in safe mode, see what happens,
then try reinstalling Office.
try also downloading Malwarebytes (free) http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run it to see if that helps.

Keep us posted.
