Several of my users are having an issue where they cannot open any shared calendars. Outlook freezes and restarts whenever the calendar is selected. Thus far I've tried the following:

1. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977032/ hotfix
2. Removing To Do bar
3. Disabling all add-ins
4. cleanviews, resettoolbar, cleandmrecords,cleanprofile, etc
5. safe mode
6. Recreating profile
7. Removed accounts that are no longer in the directory

No results. It only happens on Windows 7 machines. All XP boxes are fine.

No, it's not. I found the solution - download shared folders has to be selected.

On the menu select Tools > Account settings
Click on your account, then on Change More Settings then select the Advanced tab.
Check the "Download shared folders (excludes mail folders)" check box.
Exit and restart Outlook.
