windows 2003 SBS Intranet stopped working

I just inherited a network, one server is a Windows 2003 Small Business Server. They have Exchange and Intranet running. I'm trying to piece together what has happened here, but from what I understand, the SBS server had it's IP address changed, after that, both email and Intranet went down. The previous tech got the email running, but the Intranet is not working. They can't get to the default page. "Page not found". This all happened about 3 weeks ago, so the company has been without Intranet since. The server has been rebooted a dozen times in that period. I've checked IIS and companyweb is running. I can't even get to the Intranet from the SBS itself, so I'd have to assume DNS is not the issue.
Any Ideas?

If the LAN IP of an SBS is change you MUST use the "Change Server IP" wizard located under Server management / Internet and E-mail.
Not doing so breaks all sorts of services. Most of the time if it wasn't used you can re-run it using the same IP (the new one) and it will fix the various services, although I have seen it require a server rebuild.

After running that wizard, or if it is a 2 NIC server and  the WAN  IP was change you should run the "Connect to the Internet wizard"

I'm a little worried about this breaking the Exchange portion again, as they just got it up and running. Let me ask this, They have a lot of Word docs in the intranet sharepoint. Where are these documents normally located? I tried searching the SBS server and could not find any of these documents. The server is old and going to be replace within the next month or 2, even if I had to do a server rebuild I need to get these documents off to another location.

Shareoint is a SQL database, not a folder.

Restore or repair Sharepoint :-)
Sorry I know of no way of extracting them. That is one of the reasons it is so important to have a good backup with Sharepoint.
Do you have a good backup from before all the trouble started with which you could completely restore the server?

I'll have to check the backup status. I just took this network over. I know they are using Carbonite as their backup solution.

Try downloading and running the SBS Best Practices Analyzer. It will often point out configuration problems:
