Sharepoint 2010 deployment error

Hi
I am tring to deploy a solution using visual studio 2010. I was able to deploy it for the first time. But, now I am getting the following error:
Error occurred in deployment step 'Add Solution': Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Looking for some suggestions.

If you go into your Visual Studio, in the Solutions Explorer of your project click your solution (root node of the tree of files) and under the properties there is something that says "Site URL" is the sitename for your sharepoint site correctly inputted?
